The hype surrounding Yao Ming when he arrived to the NBA was out of this world! It might have been even crazier than when Lebron James was a rookie entering the league only becuase Yao had to carry all of China on his back.
He was going to be the next big man to take the mantle from Shaquille O'Neil but that soon was passed onto Dwight Howard.
Even with that said he had all-star appearnces whether you think he only got them becuase a billioon people were voting for him and he clearly was a good player that just could not stay on the court for a whole 82 game season.
